Project Description

Borger Elementary School is a LEED Certified School, only one of three in the State of Texas and is the winner of the Texas Construction Magazine's "Best of '08," in the K-12 category. This project was also selected as the Runner-Up in the "National Best of the Best 2008," from the industry's leading publication, Engineering News Record.

MW Builders was the Construction Manager at Risk for the Borger Elementary School project, which consisted of preconstruction services and the construction of a new 121,000 SF Elementary School for 2070 occupants, grades first through fourth. The facility consists of a concrete foundation on drilled piers, structural steel frame, masonry exterior, and built-up and metal roof. The award-winning school contains classrooms, administration, cafeteria, gym, library, music room, computer room, lounge, resource rooms, science rooms, restrooms and 315 parking spaces.

This project with Borger ISD has developed into a long-lasting relationship with Borger ISD and their owner, Superintendent Mr. Clifton Stephens. MW Builders has now completed 6 projects for Borger ISD totaling more than $36 million.
