Client Testimonial

The look of the baseball park itself is beautifully complimentary to the football facility next door. The brickwork and classic entryway are similar to, but not exactly the same as, the gridiron palace across the parking lot. The execution and the attention to detail were simply outstanding here. When you combine the beautiful aesthetics of the ballpark with the way it handles air flow, it's a winning combination.

Project Description

Scharbauer Sports Complex is a multi-functional sports facility constructed for the City of Midland. This project featured a 15,000 seat steel and precast stadium for Midland's legendary high school football team. It also included a 5,000 seat AA baseball stadium dubbed First American Bank Ballpark, home to the Oakland A's Double A affiliate, the Midland RockHounds.

First American Bank Ballpark was named the Best New Park of 2002 by BaseballParks.com.

This $30 million dollar project included extensive site paving and flatwork, all constructed over a 100 acre site. Both bowl type stadiums contain press boxes, luxury suites and grass berm seating. The baseball stadium has 100% theater-style spectator seating. The ballpark complex features locker/clubhouse facilities, administrative areas, community center, and shared plaza with concessions, souvenir shops, and a restaurant on the concourse level behind home plate.
