MW Builders completed construction of a new, five-story, 120-room Element by Westin hotel. The hotel occupies one of six lots on a 16-acre site and was constructed using a combination of structural steel, wood frame, and CMU. In order to minimize the impact of the Northeast’s harsh winter weather on the project schedule, MW Builders utilized panelized construction.
The Element brand of hotels is intended to be environmentally friendly, and the hotels are designed to include energy and water efficient features. Eco-friendly materials are used throughout, from the floors made of recycled materials to energy-efficient lighting and plumbing fixtures.
