This 2-story, 60,000-SF facility provides a dedicated space for the Kansas State Wildcat's basketball program and is located adjacent to Bramlage Coliseum. The complex includes two, full-size basketball courts, men’s and women’s locker rooms, coaches’ offices, a weight room, and a sports medicine center with hydrotherapy facilities.
Spectators can watch practice from a mezzanine level, while the open entrance atrium and viewing deck functions as reception space for donor and recruiting functions. The building’s structure consists of a structural steel frame, slab-on-grade, and foundation walls on drilled piers. Because of the close proximity of the new building to Bramlage Coliseum, shoring was needed to construct the foundation and lower level of the new building. Site work includes walkway and plaza construction, including a snow melt system, and relocation of existing utilities.
