MW Builders provided design-build services
for the Kiowa Hospital and Clinic, replacing the existing 1950s-era facility in
Kiowa, KS. The new and improved facility includes both hospital and clinic
areas sharing a common entry and waiting area. The master plan allows for
future expansions in response to changing healthcare procedures. Amenities
include:
Hospital:
- 24-hour emergency room
- CLIA certified hospital laboratory
- Radiology and imaging department including X-rays, CT Scans, Bone Density (DEXA), MRI and Ultrasounds
- Pharmacy
- General surgery operating room with restricted access and a procedure room
- Administrative suite and chapel
- Centralized nurse station with direct access to ER
- Seven acute care private inpatient rooms with individual accessible restrooms and one isolation room
- Environmental Services Department with mechanical and electrical rooms, a pump, and receiving dock
Clinic:
- Eight exam rooms and one treatment room
- One central conference room and four physician’s offices
